Back homeMy Grandparents just celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary. How epic is that?
It’s honestly such an honor and a blessing to me to be a part of this family.
How sweet it is.
I am so blessed to live in the house I do. I’ve got 13 awesome roommates. We host dance parties from time to time. This is a collection of some pictures I took from “Twas the Night Before Stop Day”

(I’m pretty sure a lot of these look horrible if you’re seeing them on anything besides a macbook. The saturation is rediculous)
ahhhh, the cotton house.
Lunch Break Blog Post! I’m on my lunch break. Blogging.

This was an experiment in silhouetting with a slow shutter speed. I think this was a 6″ exposure. Want to see it BIG?
and
I also did this which I thought was pretty cool.

So, here are some pictures of the Cotton House’s newest game, SwingShot.
Basically, you run, jump, grab, swing, and plant. Run up to the door frame, jump and grab the pull-up bar, and see how far you can swing yourself and plant your feet.
It sounds dumb but is addicting and awesome.
Here are some weird pictures from it (all pictures link to my flickr):

So my little sister randomly mailed me an envelope full of Apatosauruses! I think she used a stencil to draw them and them she cut them out. Side note: by “little” sister I mean 20 yr old sister, haha. I was angry at the when I came home for lunch at the bank and student loans and this definitely cheered me up when I found it in my mail box.
Funny story (funny is relative): So I was on flickr in firefox on windows and typed “apatosaurus” but it said I had it misspelled, so I right clicked to see the suggested spellings and “Brontosaurus” was a suggested spelling! Apatosaurus is the CORRECT name for the Brontosaurus, because of naming conventions. HAHAHA! Well, it’s funny to me.
Outtake:

I cropped it on the side… it says “Your Baby Sister”, not just “Your Baby” haha!
This is the lighting set-up for the image above:

I feel like these titles fit well with my self and my emotions lately.
I wrote a post a few days ago about a friend that passed away five years ago.
What I didn’t really say in the post was that his funeral was one of the most significant days to my faith. I just remember this huge churched filled to the brim with people. The aisles were filled, literally, no one else could fit in the church. I saw how big of an impact my friend Tylor, who was younger than I was, made at his high school, in his town, at his church, etc. I felt ashamed that I decided to live for myself. Tylor showed me tangibly a life lived beyond one’s self. 5 years ago. It feels like a lifetime ago, and it feels like moments ago.

So I take pictures, import them to my computer, and upload them.
Sometimes I take pictures, and then take pictures again without importing them. Then sometimes I import without uploading. This time I imported without uploading the previous ones and mislabeled some numbers.
but I caught my err.
Here is a 3 day catch up.
Outtakes from today (I took my camera to work):
On my wall:

The little green flags are my friends abroad. It helps me to think and pray about them. Its cool to visual see the people you know and care about making a difference globally.
