Day 73:
Salmon (LXXIII)

Oh man. This cracks me up. We had an old salmon fillet in our freezer. So we got rid of it.
“But how did it get into the street?”

Soon You're Gunna Sleep Wit Da Fishes

“ooooh. Ok.”

Anyways. Here are a couple days I missed:
This one really doesn’t fit into the mix of the above pictures, but I really like the composition and colors.

Christmas Leftovers

28/12/2009

I’m going to be an Uncle!!!!! My older sister, Kylee, is 7 weeks along! Her and Jeff told us on Christmas Eve. I am so excited. What a blessing.

Here are a bunch of pictures I want to post from Christmas weekend that weren’t part of my 365.

Pictures from Christmas Weekend

28/12/2009

Presence. Crank it to 12. (LXIX)
THIS amp goes to 12! That’s one more than 11, and two louder than 10. Take that Spinal Tap! (Day 70)

Day 69:
Alby Yawn (LXIX)
Alby!

Day 68:
Harvest Dance (LXVIII)
A delicious beer from Boulevard. Playing with my new 35mm 1.8 it’s pretty awesome so far. Very sharp wide open, unlike my 50mm 1.8

Day 67:
'scuse me. Toy please. (LXVII)
Gracie sleeps in the basement with Kylee and Jeff. She checks out what’s going on when she hears noises.

Day 66:
Pottery with Horns (LXVI)
I thought this would be a lame picture. I had an extremely hard time getting up and taking this picture. I accidentally fell asleep and had to force myself to get out of bed and take this. I’m happy with the edit because it looks mysterious.

I got a little behind. I was busy updating my layout. Tell me what you think.

Also, I’m updating this while I’m watching Inglorious Basterds. If you like movies, and haven’t seen this movie… go see this movie. Anyways, here are days 59 through 62.

Hungry for Time (Day 58)

16/12/2009

I must have been hungry last night.

Hungry for Time (LVIII)[self-portrait]

Check This Out Large On Black

I feel as though I have hungered for more time than anything else. I cant keep up well and I don’t mean to keep complaining about it.
Any advice out there, workers of the world?
I more and more understand why they say to do what you love because if I didn’t love my work I would be stressed beyond belief.

Anyways, I’m happy with how these two turned out. It was a lot of trial and error. I haven’t done many self portraits, and focusing was an issue at first. I decided to focus on the back of the chair I was sitting in and lean back a little bit.

Can you hear me? [self-portrait]

Check this out one big too

This one is about replacing the tongue with the pen, taking time to write things down instead of endlessly spattering out words.

Enjoy!

Exit Sign (Day 57)

15/12/2009

Escape (LVII)

Exodus. A time of renewal. “A journey by a large group to escape.”

I did this with a make shift gobo, part of an exit sign that was laying around the house.

Here is how I did it for a different shot (the only difference is that Lis held the exit sign and the flash in the above picture instead of a bocce ball set and and my guitar amp, haha)

Light set up

and the outcome of that was this:
Exit
